About Christa Lynn Gray

A longtime molecular researcher and anesthesiologist, Dr. Christa Lynn Gray graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University before accepting a position as a research associate with Sandoz in Palo Alto, California. There, she conducted research into multiple aspects of plant genes, including targeted mutations, cloning, and genetic engineering. Dr. Christa Lynn Gray built on this experience in her next position with Genentech in South San Francisco, where she served as a research associate working with human genes.

While working as a molecular researcher, Dr. Gray published numerous articles on topics related to genetic research in a number of prestigious journals, including Nature, Science, and Molecular and Cellular Biology. She also received awards such as a National Institutes of Health research fellowship, which allowed her to spend a year as a researcher at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).

Following her research tenure at UCI, Dr. Gray enrolled in the UCI College of Medicine, where she earned her medical degree. She then completed postgraduate training through internships with the UCI Medical Center and the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center (UCLA Health), before working as a staff anesthesiologist at Centinela Medical Center in Los Angeles. A board certified anesthesiologist, she currently lives in North Carolina.
